Being a country music fan, it’s exciting when an artist releases a new album that has been a long time coming. LeAnn Rimes does this in her latest album “This Woman.”
It has been four years since her last hit album and it’s been well worth the wait. Not only are her songs in “This Woman” passionate, but have an up beat as well. Many of the songs have that classic country sound which you will notice when listening to her album.
Leanns last few albums have had a more Jazz apeal that country appeal. Her 2002 album, which featured songs from the movie “ Coyote Ugly” really dissapointed country music fans. However, “This Woman” makes up for it.
“This Woman” is sure to have many hits. With the success of her first top ten song in years “Nothin’ bout love makes sense,” there are sure to be more to come. “Somethings got to give” is sure to be another top ten hit. Its mellow tone and powerful lyrics make you want to hear it again and again. The song “wont be lonly long” is very upbeat and is a fun song to listen to.
Three of the songs on the CD were co-written by Leann. These include “When this woman loves a man” and “You take me home.”
Leann Rimes is no amateur to country music. Starting at the age of 14 in 1996, she has become one of the youngest country artists to hit it big in Nashville. With her latest CD included, Leann has released 8 full length albums. She won a grammy in 1996 for best new artist and has been improving her music ever since. “This Woman” is defiantly one of her best albums with beautiful lyrics and a great beat.
