In the April edition of “The Freelancer”, an article including statistics about the racial diversity of Boise in comparison to New York City might have contained a questionable use of terms. A sidebar on the center spread stated “92 percent of Boise’s population is white, 35 percent of New York City’s population is white.” The fact was introduced under the heading of “White Supremacy.” The term “White Supremacy” was not intended as a racist remark. The term was used to express the major difference in population between Caucasians and other minority groups in the Boise area. The Editorial Board apologizes to any readers who misinterpreted our intent. We're sorry.
