Is the American Justice System Fair? Embed This Article
The American Justice System is biased; the rich and famous are acquitted while minorities are prime suspects. There are countless errors and mistakes which result in guilty men walking free and innocent people rotting in jail cells. Also, some courts are unwilling to reopen these cases should the wrongfully incarcerated insist on their innocence, because they want to delude themselves into believing the crime has been solved and the criminal imprisoned. It is much easier for them to just close a case rather than bother spending time and resources proving the innocence of somebody they don’t even care about. However, celebrities and rich people are often released on bail, or simply because it would make too much noise to put a well-known face or a business tycoon behind bars.
