Mitchell’s girls’ tennis team will be hitting the courts for the first time this year on March 14 against Harrison. The Marauders will also be playing on March 20 against Sand Creek as well as the all-important Wasson game on April 24. A lot of girls are looking forward to this season, including Kristi Leung, who is, “Excited to just play my best and hopefully stay on varsity.” All the hard work and dedication that the team has invested in the preseason workouts will hopefully come into play by helping them have another excellent season. From working on their fitness to backhands and serves, the team is practicing up a storm in order to get ready for their first real test of the year. To make sure that the Mitchell girls’ tennis team has a successful season though, they will for sure need support from their fellow Marauders, so be sure to attend their games!
