After what seems like a long off-season, Mitchell’s baseball team is ready to take the field for the first time this season in some games. The team will be kicking off the season with a game against Harrison on March 8. The Marauders will also be playing March 15 at home against Wasson and March 18 at Air Academy. March will be a very busy month for the baseball team because they will be playing a total of 7 games, including games during spring break in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Other games will be played March 22 against Coronado, a game against Pine Creek on March 20, and when they face off against Widefield on March 26. Baseball is a sport that’s booming in popularity in Colorado due to the Colorado Rockies success last season in the MLB, so catch some of our school’s action this year. With all their hard work during the preseason, everyone can be sure that the team will have another great year.
