We’ve all heard the messages of the speeches over graduation and the other ceremonies that are up and coming as the year ends. Not only for seniors and their farewell, but also to the arrival of students to replace us as new classmen come every year. Four participants have auditioned for this desired part, to speak at graduation, which were Kathrine Arimborgo, Giovanni Hale, Sarah Junk, and Mathew Chavira. In the end as the tryouts were held after school, April third, anticipating the verdict it ended with Sarah winning the title of Speaker and graduation, congrats. I’ve been granted with Speaker at Senior Breakfast! Even though we came out on top, it was a great effort for both Kathrine and Giovanni: to audition for such an important role. I interviewed Kathrine who had to say.

“What was your speech about?”

“Graduation and life after school, it was for the senior class mostly.”

“Were you chosen?”

“No.”

“Why did you do it?”

“I’ve always wanted to as a last hooray, leaving school behind.”

“How do you feel about not getting it?”

“Mad, it was like getting blown off, it sucks.”

“How was it going before the judges?”

“It wasn’t too bad; I was thrown off a little by Ms. Watson.”

“Any regards to the other speakers?”

“Don’t choke.”

“So are you ready to leave as well?”

“I’m sooo ready.”

“Are you scared?”

“Just nervous.”

“Did you think you got the part?”

“I thought it was good enough, but there was a part of me that didn’t.”

Showing great sportsmanship, she was content with not being able to speak, but as always we’ve got to move on. So get ready at Breakfast and graduation to hear the speeches, hopefully being able to get something from them. Hooray Mitchell, another year is done.
