Prom for Wayland High School will be Saturday, April 12 at the Grand Rapids Art Museum from 8 p.m. to 11p.m. The junior class will be sponsoring prom with the theme of “Star light star bright, the first star I see tonight.” The colors this year are dark blue, purple and silver while dancing under the stars. During the dance, downstairs will be open for Wayland students for one hour while the upstairs will be open from 8 to 11. Students will be able to visit the museum during open hours and dance the night away upstairs. Tickets have increased ten dollars putting them at 30 dollars a person. Key chains have taken the place of paper tickets including parking fees in the ticket prices. Only 400 tickets will be sold and getting your tickets early will give you a chance to be part of the raffles taking place on March 10, 21 and 28. Monday March 10, Eric Damveld was the winner of the first drawing of a drawing certificate. The winner of the drawing on March 21 won a certificate for pictures while at prom and on March 28, there was a drawing for flowers. Get your tickets before they are gone and have a great time.
