New Years ResolutionsWednesday, January 09, 2008 By Emiy Lutz
All of the Christmas festivities are over, and the New Year has come. Welcome to 2008! Bringing in the New Year, means New Year’s resolutions for some people. New Year’s resolutions are often hard to keep, but some of the students at Campbellsport seem pretty dedicated to keeping theirs. “My New Year’s resolution is to lift weights every other day, and not go two days in a row without working out. I want to get a sexy body, and not suck at basketball,” said Andrew Walsh, a junior. “I also want to get closer to God.” Heather Russel, also a junior, wants to “Learn to save my money, I always spend it on stupid things, and I want to save it, not waste it.” “I also want to find a job this year, because I’ve never had one before.” These two students have very good resolutions that are positive and realistic. When you are thinking of a new year’s resolution, you should try and think of a goal that you can actually accomplish, otherwise you may not reach your goal and could be disappointed. Some other students also had good things to shoot for in ’08. “I am trying to avoid soda and caffeine.” That sounds like a healthy decision. Dani Stukenberg’s resolution for the year is, “To stay out of trouble.” Well, you can’t go wrong with a plan like that. Whatever your New Year’s resolution is, remember that the easiest way to follow through with your resolution is to pick a realistic goal, and plan out how you are going to achieve it. Good Luck!
