Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street December 21, dynamic duo, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, join forces once again in their new film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street: based off of the award-winning musical thriller by Stephen Sondheim. Depp makes the title role as Sweeney Todd himself, whose life is ruined as he is sent to prison and his family is taken away from him. Sweeney Todd vows to avenge the devastating things which have happened to his wife and daughter. As Sweeney Todd returns home and reopens his barber shop he returns as the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with his accomplice, Mrs. Lovett. Sweeney Todd shaves the “heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again,” while Mrs. Lovett makes her wonderful meat pies. The only question is, what does she make them out of? |
