What"s the real answer to school safety?Tuesday, September 08, 2009 By Joshua Borba
It has been asked many times, is our campus safe. I went on a mission to find the truth. I asked several students and for the most part received mixed answers.“ I feel safe at school. The security guards are great.” said, sophomore Marley Moffit Students and teachers alike have said that the security staff is amazing. Teacher Mr. Abgrall said, “I feel very safe at school. I feel the security is at full enforcement and my property is safe. Our school has a safe and respected campus. I think our campus is safe. How ever for some student ‘s they don’t feel as safe while being here at school. Student Anthony Mahlon said. “Our school is not safe. Anyone can bring anything to school. For example look at what happened at Mountain Pointe. It goes to show how unsafe itreally is.” In my personal opinion our campus is safe to a point. It is easy to bring contraband to school and our campus could be in danger, as we know it. If school searches were enforced more students would feel safe. Plus their would be less risk of a dangerous situation occurring. |
