Tukee Bowl takes a turn!Wednesday, September 23, 2009 By Joshua Borba
As hosts of the2009 Tukee Bowl, Rival opponent, Mountain Pointe High School pulled off anunexpected win in this annual event. Wining 34 to 18 Mountain Pointe scoredthree touchdowns one in the first half and two in the second. The crowdincluding Mountain Pointe was shocked. “It was hard toaccept that we lost to a team that we should have blown out,” said student J.JDielman. “It was reallyhard to watch our team lose to a team we could have beat,” said BrandonOrnelas. It seems that ourstudents were highly affected by the unexpected win Mountain Pointe had pulledoff. Many students I asked stated that they had their confidence if we couldcarry out any more victories destroyed. “ It was hard towatch our team lose to such a team we had beaten three years in a row,” saidMarley Moffit. Most students indicated that they were more than confident thatwe would pull a fourth year win against rivals Mountain Pointe. Ithought for sure a win against them would be more than possible, but in factthat didn’t happen. Most students here would have agreed that we could havewon. |
