Beginning the first year of high school can be a difficult transition. The students go from the “top-dogs” of middle school to “fresh meat” in a new, and much different high school. However, it is not only hard altering to a newer way of doing things, but it is also where these young adults will find out who they want to be by the time it is their turn to put the caps and gowns on and give up a few things they have loved, learned, and gotten comfortable with. Nevertheless, the Freshmen class of 2013 seems to be a very confident class which many students and staff members of LHS believe will help them reach their goals successfully in their high school careers and the years after. When asked the question, “What do you think is different about the freshman class of 2013?” many of the upperclassmen’s replies were similar. They believe that the freshmen are the most spirited underclassmen they’ve seen in their high school careers and that they are a very unique class as individuals and as a whole. It is believed that the confidence of the class will not have a major affect of the freshmen being “Back at the Bottom”, but will help them become stronger individuals as high school passes them by. Good Luck Freshmen! |
