The boys’ golf team finished the year with a record of 8-2 in the regular season and 6-1 in the league. The boys team was a win shy of the state competition. The boys were also the Suburban League champions for the fourth year in a row. Senior golfers are Andy Trem, Luke Berry, Patrick Alfieri, Tom Brandenstein, and Dan Gentsch. The girls’ cheerleading team cheered at the Akron University vs. Kent State game on November 7th. The girls will continue to cheer throughout basketball season. Senior cheerleaders are Chelsea Ilko, Debbie Dominick, Alexa Marconi, Brianna DeRosa, Taylor Banks, Ashley DiLuciano, Madison Barnes, and Kriszti Stiasny. The girls’ golf team finished the season with a final record of 7-6 and was 3-3 in the league. The team finished 7th in the sectional tournament and Alex Pointinger qualified for the district competition. The senior golfer is Ali Thomas. The girls cross country team finished 3rd in the Suburban League Competition and 5th at the district meet. Senior girls cross country runners are Alexis Charara, Narueen Huda, Kaitlynn Napholz, Alexandra Constantinou, Claire Sasowsky, and Laura Mason. The girls’ volleyball team finished the season with a record of 10-14. The girls were 1-1 in post season play. Senior volleyball players are Lauren Steinkerchner, Tara Lines, and Kelsey Garman. The boys’ cross country team finished the season with a record of 120-8. The boys won the Suburban League and were undefeated. The team qualified for the the Regional meet for the third year in a row. Josh Sabo was the lone runner that qualified for state. Senior runners are Dan Povitsky, Tim Moneypenny, Matt Lostowski, Mike Zumpano, and Dan Czekaj, Mark Gillete, Nate Litwinowicz, Andy Smith, Joe Wathen, and Chris Rapp. The girls’ soccer team finished the season with a record of 7-9. The girls lost in the district semi-final in double overtime in a penalty shootout. Senior soccer players are Jenna Stoerkel, Emily White, Alyssa Benson, Lori Weinstein, Lexi Anacki, and Jessie Henry. The girls’ tennis team finished the season with a 11-9 record. The team made it to the semifinals of the Northeast Ohio Division I tournament. Natalie Robson and Brittany Miller won both the sectional and district tournament making it to the quarterfinals of state. Senior players are Alexandra James, Lauren Schlueter, and Colette Porter. The boys’ soccer team finished the season with a record of 14-3-3. The boys were the district and Suburban League champions. Seniors are Will Tolerton, Tanner Krauth, John Giltner, Nathan Perry, Andy Harding,Ryan Hoffner, Evan Flynn, Jim Bambrick, and Christos Panayiotou. |
