Tahoma Cheerleaders are Victorious

Thursday, January 14, 2010 By Felicia Claflin

On Saturday January 9th the Tahoma Cheerleaders competed at Kentwood High school. Before the competition they had a fantastic practice and got multiple scarred looks from the competitors. They kept a great attitude throughout the whole day and held their heads high. When it came time to compete they had no doubt that they would be going to state. Every stunt was perfectly on time and they had no drops. The crowd was louder than ever and all they could say afterwards was, “wow!” They had qualified for state and had achieved the goal they came there with. Not only are they going to state but when they got back home they were excited to know that they qualified for nationals as well. Since it is this early in the year it was a surprise for everyone. This proves once again that the bears are back and it’s not the will to win; it’s the will to prepare to win that makes you a champion.
