Team stats are recorded every game by the one and only, junior Cody Liverance. Liverance takes his time to do all of this because of his passion for sports. Most people only think of main stats categories in basketball to be points, rebounds, and assists. Although, there is also a very important stat which is efficiency. The efficiency stat is calculated by season points + season rebounds + season assists + blocks + steals – missed shots – turnovers – missed free throws. A high positive efficiency is a good stat, where as a low or negative stat isn’t as good. Spencer Krannitz Sophomore, Spencer Krannitz is currently the boy’s varsity basketball team’s point’s leader. Krannitz is leading the team with 129 points, which is an average of 18.4 points per game. Krannitz also has 33 rebounds this season, which is an average of 4.7 rebounds per game. Krannitz has a game high of 26 points so far this season, his season high came against Hart on January 5, 2010. Krannitz’s efficiency rating is currently at 115. Krannitz has established himself as a leader on the team, and looks forward to helping his team win games. "I will continue to work hard in every practice and help push my team to the limit. I am going to keep trying to do whatever I can to help the team succeed," Krannitz said. Aaron Jones Junior, Aaron Jones is leading the team in rebounds with 40 this season, which is an average of 5.7 rebounds per game. Jones is also second on the team in points with 94 points on the season, which is an average of 13.4 points per game. Jones had a game high of 12 rebounds against Hart on January 5, 2010. Jones’s efficiency rating is currently at 93. Jones is looking forward to a strong second half of conference play and is excited to keep improving as a team and player. "Our team is continuing to improve throughout this season by practicing hard and using our quickness to our advantage," Jones said. Drake Cooke Junior, Drake Cooke is the team’s leader in assists. Cooke currently has 15 assists on the season and is averaging 2.1 assists per game. So far this season, Cooke has a game high of 5 assists against Hart on January 5, 2010. Cooke is looking forward to helping the team progress and win games. He is excited to play all the conference teams again and help the team put themselves in a position to win the West Michigan Conference. "I am going to play my role, drive in and kick the ball out to the open teammate, and make good decisions," Cooke said.
