Dear Editor,
I would like to start this off by addressing the issue of tardy detentions. I am not very fond of them and I don’t think anyone is. I think the whole deal is rather ridiculous. I mean I understand there are some people who are just late to class because they take their sweet old time but there are some that have their classes at the other end of the school. Like me for example, on of my classes is at the far end of the school and its difficult getting my stuff for that class out of my locker and then rushing or literally running to my class. I think a possible solution for this would be for the teachers and the bells to give students a break.
Sincerely, Anonymous.
Dear Editor,
The school food at lunch can be ok at times but I wish it could be better. Sometimes the food just never looks appetizing so I end up eating the same thing day after day. The fries are really the worst part. They give you less than a handful, and it never fills me up. It is mainly the only think I get to eat all school day up until after practice. It feels like they are starving me but there can be something done. Give a little more, that’s simple. Give me food that will fill me up and get me going through the day.
Sincerely,

Dear Editor,
Titan Period is a new thing here at Trask and I think there are positive and negative effects. I understand its to help people with failing classes but what about people who are passing? Can’t we be rewarded for doing good? I know last year we all had fun classes for people passing and everyone enjoyed it!! Now people dread Titan Period because its boring. We don’t get to do anything but sit around reading and working on homework. So why not go back to the fun classes for passing students? ALLOW THE STUDENTS WHO ARE’NT DOING GOOD TO STAY IN REMEDIATION CLASSES!

REWARD THE PASSING!!!
Dear Editor,
I would like to state a specific complaint that I feel needs to be fixed. I am a member of the soccer team here at Trask and I feel as though we need more support. We have had the same jerseys since the school first opened. Our score board barley works, and our field stays muddy and nasty. To fix these problems I feel as if we should be able to have fundraisers and be treated as if we are important as the basketball or football team. We are a team with great potential and I think with a little more encouragement and help with our needs, we could be the best team around. PLEASE HELP!!!

Dear Editor,
I’m a student here at Heide Trask High School and I really think that we need to be able to get drinks during class. That way we don’t have to miss class to go to the water fountain. I’m just saying I think we should be offered drinks like minute maid, water, Gatorade, and diet sodas during school. I think that if we have drink machines in the school for during school hours the student body will be much happier. J Thank you and good day!
Thank you!
