Junker of the Issue: Michael Malcore

Wednesday, March 17, 2010 By Troy King

This month’s Junker of the Issue nominee is Michael Malcore, a proud owner of a Ford Taurus. Michael had said that a few of the many troubles of his car include a roof that tends to cave in and an engine that rarely starts. Also, the tires don’t like to stay inflated as they always lose their air pressure. The car is suffering from a sticky accelerator, the windows rarely go up and down, and it has no dome lights. The timing belt is going and sometimes the transmission slips. Michael says, "Even though I may have complications with my car, I’m already over it." He has been driving this car for a couple of years now. But recently he said he has been having non-stop trouble with this car. Besides all of the troubles he’s having he still thinks it’s an ideal car to drive around places. This type of vehicle is an okay vehicle to start out on. When he drives to school with it or leaves the parking lot, the car always tends to die on him. But according to Michael, he just has to keep the battery charged at all times and maybe it will run a lot longer. This is a car that may look good on the outside but bad in the inside. So, when you see this car sitting in the parking lot for ten minutes at a time with Michael sitting behind the wheel, it may just need a quick jump start.
