Remember the HolocaustThursday, May 06, 2010 By Kristen Buchter
Dig their graves Shoot them down Make them work They’re your slaves Blame it on them They can’t fight You’re in charge They have no rights Gather them up Haul ‘em away Packed in dark green trucks Some might die and decay Reach the camps Of death and fear Working harder than before Reminds them that death is near Laboring til they can’t no more Striving for one more day Again experiencing the horrid hate Wanting to cry But they’re unable To survive, They have to try This was too unimaginable The only one they could trust Was their killer An everlasting lack of food Nothing but skin and bones A starved stomach Accustomed to this,,,they’ve grown Praying everyday That someone would care And they would be safe Finally they’re liberated Their saviors so appreciated To remember what they lost What they saw To remember the Holocaust |
