On monday June 28,2010 the Upward Bound students went to Star Skate, it was an amazing time seeing people dance on skates, doing the Hokey Pokey and listening to music and watchingvideos trying to do what they did on skates. We got free drinks; like Sprite, Dr. pepper, and Coke. We had to pay for our own sancke like cookies, chips , and candy. They had a couple, girl. and boys time to skate. they also had and arcade where you can play games like driving, skiing for those who needed a break from skating most people who didnt know how to skate, stil went out there. It wasnt a pretty site seeing people falling and getting hurt. when it was time to leave, everyone did the Cha-Cha slide. Overall, it was a wonderful experiance for people to realize that they couldnt skate after being injured with bumps and bruises and sprained ankles and knees. Some learned that if they ever decided to go skating again they might wanna bring a helmet and some elbow and knee pads. |
