Transitioning from BMS to BHS..Thursday, September 30, 2010 By Sara Keith
Coming into high school was a very scary thing for me and I am sure a bunch of other kids. All of the eighth graders were scared, especially in a big school like this. But I am lucky I have my cousins Kaylee and Rozlyn, here with me this year. Once I got to high school it wasn’t so bad. It’s very different, but I actually like high school so much more! We have a lot of freedom, like we didn’t have last year, and we don’t get taught like little kids, we get taught like adults now. I knew in high school it wasn’t going to be so easy. We only have four more years of school and the teachers and administrators are trying to get us ready for graduating and going off to college. I'm with my cousins now which makes everything so much better! All of the freshman, like that we get to chew gum and we have lockers. Last year we would get in trouble for chewing gum during school. But I like high school so much more, I'm glad I'm here. |
