The Knightwriter
Response: Top Five Video Game SeriesWednesday, December 01, 2010 By Bethany Blomgren
On the Knightwriter, Dakota Morgan blogged on the top five video game series. This is something that got my attention because of my addiction to game play, though I must say, I have only played three of the series that he mentioned. Secretly, this saddens me. (Don’t worry – this will be fixed soon!) I noticed that Assassin’s Creed wasn’t on the list. It seemed like it should have been, but wasn’t. Personally, I loved the plot. The X-Box I had been using to play the game got jacked before I could finish it, but it was still a very amusing game. I at first wondered (and this can be seen from my comments on the blog) why Legend of Zelda wasn’t first. It was the first game I ever really got into. I don’t think Mario Kart counts. My mother played LoZ religiously back in the day, so I was introduced pretty young. But when I looked further into it, I noticed that Dakota was right. The plot needs some work. I’m a big fan of the games (minus the DS games, because seriously…) and would defend them with my life, but there are some loopholes that need to be fixed. The last thing I would like to address is a comment about Final Fantasy. I know TONS of people who play this. Daily. It’s crazy. I also know that the music presented in these games is phenomenal. So, perhaps this one should have been bumped up? I understand opinions, though. And then there’s the fact that I’m not experienced enough. To read this tidbit, go here! |
