Bring Out the Guns

The hunting season began a few weeks ago. Many students were out braving the cold and ice storms, and not coming away with much. Sophomore Austin Noble went hunting up north. He had a successful hunting season. He shot a 7 point buck. The best part of the hunting season for Austin was “being out in the woods.” Junior Bucky Roush went hunting two miles east of the school; unfortunately he didn’t get a deer. He also went hunting in North Park, Colorado by Independence Mountain. He had the same result in Colorado, “I didn’t shoot anything, but everyone in my party did.” While Bucky was out in Colorado, he also went elk hunting. He couldn’t get any cow tags, so he could only get bull tags. While they were out hunting he only saw cows, no bulls. “A cow is a female elk, and a bull is a male elk,” Bucky said. Bucky plans on going to Colorado again next year. He said “this season was not a normal season.” The hunting season has started and tons of people have been out in the woods. Some have come away happy, while others have not.
