Recent snow and rainfall have cause many parts of South Dakota to be covered with water. As the seasonal averages of snow for the year is being totaled the snow keeps coming, and the the seasonal average comtinue to climb. According to Keloland, Sisseton has broken its altime seasolal record with 83.8 inches for the 2010-2011 winter. All of this excess water has created a drainage problem and flooding is occuring. This is causing many roads to be closed due to flooding and being washed out. We can only hope that when the calender says summer,it is summer.
