Avalanche Bark: a Yummy Treat for All!

With the beginning of a new school year, nights you would have normally spent diving into swimming pools and roasting marshmallows bonfire side are now filled with homework and studying. Before long you’ll be staying up late cramming last bits of information into that Power Point you forgot is due tomorrow. You’ll need a sweet treat to get you through these long eight hour days. Here’s a recipe that is sure to make you reach in your backpack during class change or inspire you to have a study party with your classmates. Not only is it delightfully delicious, but also a quick snack to whip up for those of us on a tight schedule. Quench your Hawk hunger! What you’ll need: 1 (12 oz) bag of white chocolate chips 2 tablespoons of peanut butter 3 cups crispy rice cereal ½ cup mini chocolate chips 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows The operation: Find a big bowl (microwave safe), pour in white chocolate chips and peanut butter, and stick it in the microwave for about 40 seconds. Stir components together until the chips are fully melted. Add the crispy rice cereal and allow it to get to room temperature (about 10 minutes). Then, add the mini chocolate chips and marshmallows and stir the mixture up. Grease a 9x13 pan and press the avalanche into the pan. Make sure you do not push too hard you do not want to smash the crispy rice cereal. Let it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes, the perfect amount of time for it to barkalize! Last, cut into squares (or be creative and cut out cool shapes) and enjoy!
