Freshman football season wrapup

Monday, November 14, 2011 By Grayson Bargo

The Vista Grande Freshman Spartans finished 3-4 on the season. When Coach Hills was asked what he felt the team’s strengths and weaknesses were this season, he responded “Our strengths were the program such as Coach Delbridge and Coach Hernandez. Our weaknesses were our lack of numbers and passion from the players.” During the interview when asked “how he thought this freshmen team compared to last years freshman team?” he answered, “The records were the same, 3-4, but this year we had more important games, such as the game against the Cougars.” His thoughts about the Union game were, “It was great to beat the team I played for. It is good to know that we are the best football program in town.” We then wrapped up the interview with some final comments from Coach Hills, “It was a good and fun year. It was also fun to be the head coach of the freshman team.” Good luck to all players as they move up to JV next year.
