As a senior I am enrolled in the Cooperative Education program at Abingdon High School. My name is Steven Sandoval and currently I’m working at Irv’s Car Care in Abingdon, IL. The Cooperative Education program allows you to work half of the school day, then return to school. In my eyes I think the program is very realistic. It prepares you for everyday life after high school. My boss is Steve “Irv” McVey. In his business he performs routine maintenance such as oil changes, installs tires, and can do other small maintenance to your car. While working there, I have learned important job skills. Each quarter we get evaluated then that evaluation turns into a grade for school. |
