Creating the perfect date

Every year, teenage girls daydream in class about what they hope their boyfriends have planned for Valentine’s Day. Many guys believe dinner and a movie will be sufficient enough to make their girlfriends happy, but it is not. Girls have completely different personalities and enjoy different activities. More importantly, girls love it when their boyfriends think outside of the box of man thoughts and are creative. Ciera Monroe, a junior at McIntosh, has shared with the McIntosh Trail what she believes is the perfect date. “My idea of a perfect date is for my date to pick me up in a car, a car that won’t break down after a few miles by the way, and come to my door dressed nicely. In his hands, there should be a box of snickers, honey buns, and some flowers. I prefer purple flowers. Then, he should do that thing where he puts his arm out for me so that I can wrap my arm around his. Then, we will walk to the car. We would then head to Red Lobster and be accompanied by a candle lit dinner outside under the stars, with a little orchestra playing behind us. Afterwards, when dinner was over, we would go to a drive-in-movie or the Cinemark. I prefer the drive in. We would watch a scary movie, then a sad movie, and then a comedy to have a balanced night…. Afterwards, we would enjoy our laughs and giggles about what our thoughts and feelings were about each movie. After that is all said and done, he would take me home. On the car ride home, we would listen to whatever I put on the radio: Drake, Big Sean, and Mindless Behavior to name a few. He would enjoy me singing along to the music and compliment the way my voice sounds. As we approach my house, I would get sad because I had a great time, however, there is always a next time. Then, we would get out of the car and he would walk me to the door. I hope he hugs me goodnight and then goes back to his door. I would go inside, lie on the sofa, and go to sleep dreaming about how my long life fairy tale of a “Perfect Date” just came true.” Although many girls would find this somewhat strange, this is what she considers her perfect dare. Guys must pay close attention if they want to provide their girlfriends with the perfect date.
