Men's Swimming prepares for StateThursday, February 16, 2012 By Callie Krevanko
After taking first in state last year, the Cleveland men’s 200 yard medley relay team is looking to repeat its success. The team is composed of seniors Sam Donohue, Matt Hwee and Brandon Risley, in addition to junior Steven Soo. It has been a consistent strength for the undefeated Men’s Swimming team, placing first at every meet. According to Donohue, the group doesn’t have any new or special strategies going into state; they’re just training hard in practice and always working on improving. The Warrior swimmers are also looking to repeat the success of the entire team. Last year they placed second in state and are hoping to do as well this year. “Corvallis is the team to beat,” said Donohue, but according to the swimmers, they know they can do it. |
