Spotlight On... Jada Wright!Wednesday, March 21, 2012 By Ali Meehan
Liberty ’s very own Jada Wright has performing all over town! It all started when she sang in an N.A.A.C.P. concert at the Wildey Theater a couple weeks ago. Ever since then, Jada has been singing her way into the hearts of the community. I had the honor of interviewing Jada about her singing career and more. Take a look and see Jada’s point of view of her new hobby. Panther Tracks : When did you start singing? Jada : Growing up as a kid; I wanted to pursue my career. Panther Tracks : What was the first production you were in? Jada : My first big one was Captain Louie Jr. Panther Tracks : What are you currently in/working on? Jada : Jr. Theater Festival, Aquarius Fundraiser, Once on This Island, and my church dance team. Panther Tracks : What are your career goals? Jada : Owning my own clothing company. I would also like to be on TV and Broadway. Panther Tracks : Who are your role models? Jada : Mom and, grandpa and grandma, Steven Tyler, Adele and Carrie Underwood. Panther Tracks : You were in the fall talent show last fall singing “Rolling in the Deep”. What inspired you to sing that? Jada : My mom and my godmother. They really pushed me to do the song because I felt the song in my heart. I almost cried on stage too, but that’s a different story. Panther Tracks : How did your childhood inspire you to sing? Jada : Growing up I hade nine surgeries by the time I was 5. I almost lost my life twice. My grandma and mom inspired me then because they had hope. Panther Tracks : I hear you take voice lessons. Do you like taking them? Jada : I love it! I want to thank my teacher, Paul Pitts. |
