Draw Something lines up audience with app-titude BY RUBY R. Watertown Splash staff reporter Do you enjoy drawing and connecting on social media networks? Then you might want to download the app Draw Something in the app store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. You can connect with your Facebook friends, or can use your e-mail. The best part is that anybody of any age can enjoy this game because it’s so easy and so entertaining. It became the No. 1 most-purchased app in the app store! Draw Something is a word guessing game in which you draw a picture and your opponent guesses the word with a set of letters. The object of the game is for your opponent to guess the drawing. If it is guessed correctly, then both players will get the number of coins, depending on the difficulty level of the word. There are three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. When it’s your turn, you get a set of words to choose from. Each word is worth one, two, or three coins, depending on the difficulty of the word. You choose the word. Your opponent gets a set of letters, and tries to guess the word you picked. If you are new to this app, you start off with four colors to create drawings with (red, black, blue, and yellow). But you can purchase more colors with the coins you earn, from guessing the word correctly. There is also a button with a bomb on it that you can press if you get stuck on a word. The bomb eliminates some of the letters to choose from. But the catch is that you only have a certain number of bombs you can use. Once you run out of bombs, you can buy them for as little as $.99. This fun little game is sold in the app store for $.99, but there is also a free version if you don’t mind ads. Draw Something is a quirky, amusing game that will entertain you if you have some time to spare. --April 15, 2012-- |
