Back in 1997 James Cameron brought us the heart wrenching film Titanic. The film grossed the most money anyone had ever seen at the time and many of those involved won awards for their work on this film including the leads Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Also the film won Best Picture and Best Director. Time past and everyone involved moved on but last weekend Titanic was re-released this time in 3-D. Most people thought since it was the exact same movie not too many people would see it again but they were wrong. The film just past the $2 billion mark, meaning that within the time it has been re-released it has made that amount of money and it’s still not done being in theatres. Most people agree it is a classic movie and that in part or in whole is the reason why it’s such a success. |
