Just In Case
Devin's Playoff OutlookFriday, April 27, 2012 By Devin Brown
Alantic Division I'm going to have to go with the New York Knicks on this one. The Knicks recently got an energetic Point Guard when they recieved Jeremy Lin. Lin averaged 25.8 points and 12.3 assist per game during 6 games. I don't think he needs an introduction, but they also have Carmelo Anthony, one of the league's best scorers. Amare Stoudemire brings a heavy presence in the post also. Central Division Of Course you have to go with the Chicago Bulls on this one. They have the reigning MVP Derrick Rose, I mean who can stop that guy? The Bulls also have a great center in Joakim Noah, and Carlos Boozer causes havoc in the post. Loul Deng is an excellent shooter who brings double digit figures each game . Southeast Division As much as I hate this over-rated team, they are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Lebron James is an all- around player, who can knock down the game- winning 3 from the perimeter and also drive to the basket and throw down with an amazing dunk. Other key players include: Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Northwest Division OKC! OKC! OKC! Oklahoma is arguably the best team in the NBA. Kevin Durant is an All-Star by himself, but with help from Russel Westbrook dishing him amazing passes, it makes him much better. Russell and Kevin combined score over 69 points every game! Yes, you heard it right, 69! Most teams in the NBA don't even score that much in a game. Pacific Division The L.A. Clippers are my favorite team in the NBA. Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA, and Blake Griffin IS the best big man in the NBA. Not only do they have those players, but they have Caron Butler a Racine,WI native. I pick them to be in the Finals against the Chicago Bulls (If Derrick Rose is healthy). Southwest Division I guess it's only right to go with The Dallas Mavericks since they are the reigning NBA Champions. However, I HIGHLY doubt they are making another trip this year. Although Dirk Nowitzi is among the top players in the NBA, he is old and withering. They also have a consistent scorer in Shawn Marion, although he has to have the ugliest jumper in the NBA; it goes in the net. |
