Ashton Kutcher’s Potato Chip Ad Gone Wrong

Saturday, May 05, 2012 By Mickey Anderson

Ashton’s newest commercial portraying an Indian man who wants love wasn’t aired very long when the online people screamed ‘racism’. No one seemed happy, because the chip brand the commercial was created for never got mentioned. This isn’t the first video made for the brand. Anil Dash, a tech entrepreneur, called the ad “a hackneyed, unfunny advertisement featuring Kutcher in brownface talking about his romantic options, with the entire punchline being that he’s doing it in a fake-Indian outfit and voice. That’s it, there’s seriously no other gag.” Ashton has yet to comment on the advertisement on the outrage stemming from the advertisement. I wonder what the next ad for the brand will be.
