The middle school welcomed the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre in the beginning of the school year to introduce a creative writing opportunity. All 6 th grade students participated in this contest. After reading all writing pieces created by students across Western New York, Merry-Go-Round Theatre came back to the school to present a play. The play was created from chosen writing pieces of 6 th grade students who exemplified their excellent ability to write. Mikaela Snyder was chosen to be awarded an Excellence in writing award and her creative writing was featured in the show. The following students were recognized and received Honorable Mention awards; Logan Sieber, James Johnston, Sarah Kintzel, Shelby Dobbertin, Devon Underwood, Hunter Commisso, Luba Furdey, Griffin Iverson, Michael Dhondt, and Sean Maclennan. Also, Kyle Allen and Maeve Freese both received an Excellence in writing award. Mrs. Fritz stated that, "I’m very proud of all the sixth graders who participated in the ECHOES writing contest, winner or no winner, they all put forth a great effort!" Congratulations to all students for their hard work and demonstrating their brilliance in writing. |
