Green School officialWednesday, May 09, 2012 By Savanna Di Stefano
Congratulations to our Fraser Geen Schools! Eisenhower Elementary, Salk Elementary, and Richards Middle School have all been recognized as Official Michigan Green schools. The schools were recognized at the Macomb County Green School Ceremony on April 16th. To be recognized as a green school, a school must meet guildines posted by Macob County. Activities are done in categories including: energy, environmental protection, recycling, and misc. A total of ten points must be submitted with at least two from each section. Richards Middle School put in extra effort and earned 17 points, reaching the "Emerald Status!" "As a building principal and a school this means that our students are taking note of their impact on the environment and what must be done to preserve our resources," Richards Middle School principal Jessica Carrier said. |
