Many people gather to watch TLC’s television hit “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”, but couple Amanda and Billy Prentice, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, never thought it could happen to them. The couple had been trying for four years to conceive a child of their own. After giving up on trying conceiving, the couple decided that they would try to adopt. It turned out that after April 23 rd , there would be no need to try any longer. After struggling with seizures, husband Billy drove Amanda to the hospital where the doctors diagnosed her life in danger. She was then flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. Husband by her side, Amanda awaited the news. The doctor came back after he took a few medical tests with both good and bad news. Amanda was having high blood pressure which was caused by being pregnant. Soon after, the couple told friends and family the wonderful news. They would have never expected that the baby would soon be born. Five hours later 5 pound, 5 ounce Allie Anna Prentice was born. According to the couple, Amanda never experienced any signs of pregnancy except for swelling of the feet and ankles.
