Video Games Linked To ViolenceMonday, May 14, 2012 By Sam Lane
Some experts say that video games cause violence in children because parents let them play games that have a lot of blood and gore in them. Maybe video games even cause violence at school. If a child plays a game where it’s okay to go around and shoot at people, then kids probably think it's okay to bring weapons to school with them. There are also games out there that make it seem okay to steal cars. One of the most violent games has to be Call Of Duty, where you need to shoot zombies or other people on different teams. Video games have age limits for reasons. Would people really want their 10 year olds to be playing games for 16 and 17 year olds? Maybe violence is also linked to how many times a day the child sits and plays the games. But all video games have age limits, and a lot of the games that kids are playing are rated MATURE, not for children. They have kids games but most kids want to play older kid games. Do video games create killers? Maybe and maybe not. It depends on the living environment that they stay in. But most of the time it could be video game violence but other times it's not. The main types of games that cause violence would have to be the shooting ones, because they have bad language, violence against women, and violence in general. So if you don’t want your children to play violent video games then maybe you shouldn’t buy them in the first place; all games have age limits find some that are for the age of your kids. |
