Get Tixs for These Flicks!Sunday, May 20, 2012 By Allie Hindman
Now that school is winding down, students will have more free time to do whatever they like. “I plan on seeing a lot more movies,” says freshman Andrea DiFrancia. Some major blockbusters are coming out this summer like: The Amazing Spiderman, The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus, Snow White and the Huntsman, Disney’s Brave, Expendables 2, And Rock of Ages. The Amazing Spiderman is the very beginning of the Spiderman story. It stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield as the main lovers in this hero flick. The Dark Knight Rises is the final movie in the Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan. It stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Michael Caine. Now that the Joker and Two Face are gone, the Dark Knight has to fight a terrorist type villain named Bane. Prometheus stars Charlize Theron in this thriller about a cave exploration team who finds dark secrets of the universe and has to fight to save humanity. Snow White and the Huntsman stars Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart in this less than fairy tale story. In the Disney flick, Brave, Princess Merida decides to make her own path in life rather than follow the one made for her. She must rely on her unique archery capabilities to undo a beastly curse laid on the kingdom. It stars the voice talent of Kelly McDonald and Julie Walters. Expendables 2 is now bringing out the big guns. With stars such as Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and many others, it’s sure to be an action flick like no other. Rock of Ages is the flick that most older adults want to see. It is based off of the Broadway musical and is set in 1987 Los Angeles. It stars Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Russell Brand. What’s not to love? Summer is going to be full of things to do. Now there are even more movies to look forward to see with friends. |
