Mayfair is well-known for its high quality educators. Mayfair’s teachers always provide their own time and effort to further benefit their students’ education. Everything Mayfair’s teachers do is to help in students’ intellectual growth. This Guess Who-er definitely embodies the characteristics of a quality educator working here at Mayfair. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, this teacher attended Huntington Beach High School. During his high school years, he was part of the cross country and track team for four years. His senior year, he had the privilege of being captain of the cross country team. He exemplified a responsible student as he never missed a day of school and received an award for his perfect attendance. He also received the iron man award for his hard work on the cross country team. In his high school years he was able to maintain a 3.2 GPA. He graduated in class of 1994. After graduating high school, this teacher attended Cal State University, Long Beach in which he received his Bachelors in English and Masters in linguistics. His final year of college he graduated on the president’s list, also know as honor roll. After his college graduation, he went backpacking to Europe for two months. This teacher has definitely had the opportunity to travel the world as he has been to several foreign countries including France, England, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Korea, and Thailand. He has also lived in Japan for two years and speaks elementary level Japanese. Besides speaking Japanese, he also speaks a tiny bit of Spanish and German. His favorite hobbies outside of school are reading and spending quality time with his three-year-old daughter. Although he deeply regrets doing it, this teacher has eaten raw whale in the past, and will never do it again according to him. This teacher, who is part of the English department, has been working at Mayfair since 2005. In his seven years working here, he has taught CAHSEE prep, 10th grade English, and 12th grade E.R.W. Can you guess who this teacher is?
