Summerfest 2012; Wisconsin’s Past Time

The single event that students claim kicks off the feeling of summer is Summerfest: The World’s Largest Music Festival in Milwaukee, Wiscnosin. Since December Arrowhead High School students have had the countdown to Summerfest’s opening day on June 27 th . . Senior Matt McIntosh posted on Facebook on December 10 th , 2011 “7 months ‘til Summerfest : )” Summerfest runs through to August 8 th , skipping July 2 nd for holiday celebrations. It is the world’s largest music festival featuring artists from every genre of music. According to their webpage, with 11 days, 11 stages, and over 800 bands, Summerfest is a spot to find hundreds of Arrowhead students this summer. “Summers not summer, without Summerfest: )” McIntosh later posts as his Facebook status. Rachael Bartlson is current sophomore at Arrowhead and is also a contributor to the crowd attending the opening day of Summerfest. Tickets for Summerfest run $15 for adults (over 10) for weekends and evenings while weekdays are $7.
