Red Sox World Series trophy comes to fans of IpswichFriday, April 15, 2005 By TIGER TRANSCRIPT STAFF
IPSWICH -- Eighty-six years of Boston Red Sox history came to Ipswich High School in the form of a 35-pound trophy on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. All Ipswich Middle-High School students and staff were invited to pass by a table located near the Performing Arts Center holding the coveted item. Residents of Ipswich were also welcomed to pose with the victory trophy secured by the Red Sox in October 2004. The Ipswich visit was only one stop on the 315-town tour sponsored by the Fenway Park and the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission. |
