Paisley pleases 4,000 rowdy fansMonday, January 30, 2006 By Elliot Bartscher
As part of the Time Well Wasted Tour, country superstars Billy Currington, Terri Clark and Brad Paisley pleased 4,000 fans at the Sioux Falls Arena Jan. 12. Singer songwriter Billy Currington started the night off with a few hit singles like “Must Be Doing Something Right,” and “I Got A Feeling.” The young Canadian native pleased the ladies with some of his moves. “I loved when he came to my side of the stage and showed off his body,” senior Melissa Feigen said. Female singer Terri Clark was up next with an exciting show for the crowd, both men and women alike. She sang her hit singles like “Girls Lie Too,” “She Didn’t Have Time” and“Poor Poor Pitiful Me.” She used a cowbell to spice up some of her songs as well as her guitar. Last came Brad Paisley, a legendary singer/songwriter from Virginia. Paisley has built his career with his stylish songs and amazing ability to play the guitar. He played his hit songs too like “Mud On The Tires,” “Me Neither,” “Whiskey Lullaby,” “Gone Fishing,” “Little Moments,” “When I Get Where I’m Going,” “ Celebrity” and finally “Alcohol.” Brad Paisley was expected to be the best and was by far, but Currington and Clark sure helped the show turn out to be one of the best concerts to ever hit South Dakota along side of Toby Keith, Garth Brooks and Gary Allen. “If there is one concert I would spend a hundred dollars on,” senior Derek Maassen said, “Brad Paisley’s would be it.” |
