At the game is the best part! Going to a basketball game is much more fun than watching it at home.

When you go to a professional basketball game, you never know whom you will see. For example, the last time I saw the Miami Heat play the Orlando Magic, I saw Warren Sapp on the Magic bench, and then I saw Boris Becker and Mary Joe Fernandez.

If you are there in person, you can root for your favorite team. You can even wear your favorite player’s jersey and wear the team colors. You can really go all out for the team, screaming and yelling if they are losing the game or getting a bad call.

When you are at home watching the game, it is not as much fun. You may see the main action, but you do not see the plays that the camera misses. At the game, you are up close and personal. You hear the music in the background and you get to yell “defense, defense, defense” or “shoot shoot.”

At the games, you also have chances to win things such as the home team's T-shirts. If you are lucky, you can even get to be on TV for the whole country to see!
