Detour paths found here and there, why? Construction sites everywhere!
Nowadays in Carson High School, in every corner that you turn your eyes onto, construction sites are found.
Wee all know that construction sites do take a while to construct. But each construction site you find has a specific deadline as to when it should be finished by.
However, all of us on campus are not really familiar as to what is going around our campus, what they are remodeling and building. What difference it’ll make in our campus, and how it’ll benefit all of us as students of Carson High School.
We all get affected by the construction sites we see being built around the cafeteria, in front of the school, or anywhere else we use to go through to get to our classes.
But in what ways do they affect us as students? How does it affect us as students?
Whenever we’re trying to get to class, some of us are always trying to pass by the cafeteria, it can get so crowded to a point where some students can be late to class, and we know that it’s not just us that undergo the same situations in school.
There are so many things being built in the cafeteria area of our school. Dispatched parts of the cafeteria roofs, construction of the student stores, and other sites that are undergoing construction. But what are they exactly?
The new student store will be as twice as bigger, along with the Oral Arts Room that is now half as big, which will provide a bigger room for holding lectures, bigger assemblies, and for smaller dance floors. The annex to the administration building in front of the campus will include the Main office, Principals Office, and Assistant Principals office. There will also be skylights in the covered eating area and a new wall around the cafeteria and multipurpose room in between the F building and covered eating area, along with an expanded covered eating area for shade structures.
Come to think of it, it seems as if our student body itself can benefit greatly from these construction sites. But we’ve all been longing for it to finish. We eventually get tired of the loud noises we hear during class hours and of the traffic jams it causes between passing periods.
The bigger student store will be more convenient and have more food selections, while the extended covered eating area may provide more shade and new hangout spots not only for sophomores, juniors, and seniors but also for several freshmen who happen to dominate the centerfield of the quad.
Everyone in life makes mistakes, and we can’t prevent others from committing them as well. Now what exactly are some of the mistakes experienced by the construction workers?
The student store itself was expected to be finished by the day school had started. But because of some design changes made by the construction workers, it is now expected to be finished by Thanksgiving.
On even greater news, the Administration Annex and Oral Arts Room is expected to be finished by Christmas. However, the covered eating area skylights and shading won’t be expected to finish till June.
It’s our hope and desire for these construction sites to be finished by the time we leave and graduate high school. Why? Because we want to see how the school itself progresses not only academically but through ways where it is made to become more modern.
Since all of these construction sites are about to come into an end, it really isn’t that long of a wait now rather than comparing it to whether or not they’re taking too long in building it. As long as everything is finished before the school year ends and we see the benefit from these new construction sites. Then the wait is definitely worth it.
