Alyssa Bernal, an aspiring artist who was discovered through her YouTube videos, released a few of her songs and they are now being featured from her hometown San Antonio, Texas to the east coast. Three of her most known songs, “Hold Me Tight,” “Easy,” and “Cali Cali Cali,” are featured on her website, YouTube, and numerous other places online.

 “Hold Me Tight” is a slow song, but has a catchy tune and lyrics. The message Bernal sends with the song is to be portrayed as only one thing: the ultimate romantic love song. The song can relate to a married couple as well as a couple in high school. “Hold Me Tight” has another featured artist accompanying Bernal.  Jason Wade, who appears in only this song, is a wonderful complement to Bernal’s voice. They create a relaxing harmony that adds to the romantic appeal of the song.

 “Easy” is to be described as a melody rather than a song. Much like “Hold Me Tight,” it is an obvious love song in that it is sweet and slow. Bernal’s voice is extremely feminine and the words flow easily.

Bernal’s final song, and possibly one of her more popular, “Cali Cali Cali,” is upbeat, bubbly and summery. The acoustic sound of the song complements her voice and illustrates a variety of volumes and ranges her voice can turn to. Bernal is fun as well as hopeful in this particular song.
