On Wednesday April 26th, the FCCLA State Conference was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Westgate.
Followed by the competitive events, SMHS students dominated the scene with the win of 15 gold medals, two silver medals and four bronze medals. The competitions include early childhood as well as applied technology.
The following students won gold medals in the early childhood competition: Ashley Averett, Nicole Dewane, Shelby Fitzpatrick, Jordan Forrester, Shannon Hansen, Janelle Hernandez, Sydnee Inmann, Breann Montoya, Joselin Ortiz, Sarah Richardson, Hannah Madeya-Smith, Kaitlyn Stein, Jessica Turley, Martha Valdez and MacKenzie Zurn.
The winners for silver medals in the early childhood competition are Aundrea Anderson and Karrah Weise. The bronze medals were given to the following students: Adrienne Sebade and Gilliene Yap for applied technology, and Madison Squire and Brittany Frankson for early childhood.
Congratulations to all of the students who have competed in this FCCLA State Conference.
