Have you ever wanted to make a game, or an animation, but found it much too hard to do? Or do you aspire to be a computer programmer? Then have I got the program for you! SCRATCH!

SCRATCH a program created by MIT to help aspiring programmers to get some experience. Now, ANYONE can be a great Project Maker! Their site, www.scratch.mit.edu has the download site for this program. You can also view other projects, and put your own spin on them, or remix them. You can create games, videos, Memes, Quizzes, Etc! Heck, you can even make a school project using Scratch!

Scratch is like a watered down version of computer programming, used by computer buffs, and so forth. It still retains the complexity, and versatility, but is easy enough that someone can just pick it up, and figure it out. It comes with tutorials, so it’s easy enough.

It’s also free, of course.

Here’s an example! By me, of course.

<applet id='ProjectApplet' style='display:block' code='ScratchApplet' codebase='http://scratch.mit.edu/static/misc' archive='ScratchApplet.jar' height='387' width='482'><param name='project' value='../../static/projects/powergem/1219310.sb'></applet> <a href='http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/powergem/1219310'>Learn more about this project</a>

Nice write-up, Luis! If people want to check out SCRATCH some more, they can check it out on the Tech Ed Computer Lab computers. Fun stuff!! And, Luis...you are getting quite good at this stuff...you might have to teach a class in it!!

Cool Luis! I've used Scratch before and it's similar to photoshop. I just wish there were more of the tools that Photoshop has which I'm used to.
