For vacation, but not very long, my family goes to our friends’ house in the Cape. Usually it is just me and my brother, but when my parents come to it’s really fun. Our friends have two kids, Maia, my age and Gavin, my brothers age. Maia also sometimes has her cousin Jane over (also my age) and we all have a prank battle against the boys... we usually win! When it is just me and my brother going without our parents, we go with Maia and Gavin for the car trip. We almost always stay for a couple days, because I hate to leave!!

The house is HUGE and it has a cottage. The house is right across the street from a private beach. Inside the house there are two floors... on the bottom floor there is a full kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom and a living room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are two beds in each kids room Maia and Gavin’s and the Master bedroom.

Outside the backyard is also very big!! Then there is the cottage, the main argument between us and the boys. The cottage is like a mini house with a small kitchen, a fridge, and two small bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other room has two twin beds with a pull out mattress. It also has a bathroom. It also has kind of like a living room with a couch and TV. Jane, Maia, and I usually have the cottage!

When we get to the beach, I like boogie boarding and snorkeling finding sea glass under the water. Sometimes, we go to this river-type thing called Woodneck and once we got caught in the middle of a riptide!! That was kinda scarey!

I would totally recommend this trip to families who love the beach or just the sun! I go back there at least 3 times a summer and come back with a full sandwich bag of seaglass. I highly suggest bringing sun screen!!
