Vacation is defined as an extended period of recreation, especially away from home. Everyone eagerly awaits the day they can forget about school and work for a week and go to a tropical destination. The most important part of a trip is the resort to stay in. Most tourist destinations feature a variety of hotels and resorts to reside. They compete with each other to get the business. Uniqueness gives some a distinction and sets them apart from others. Dubai is in the midst of creating an unthinkable hotel. The Water Discus Hotel, after completion, will be the world’s largest underwater hotel.
The Water Discus Hotel is still in the blue print stage, but ready for construction. It will be located in the Persian Gulf. This futuristic hotel is made up of a number of disc like craters, some underneath the water and some above. They are held up by sturdy pillars for structural support. The underwater portion of the Water Discus Hotel will be air locked with walls of glass windows. Each room will have windows to see the marine life as well.
The guests will have the opportunity to experience the sea world directly under the water while having a spacious amount of room for recreation. There will be a diving center along with a spa. A large garden will be located in the middle of the hotel. The air locked chambers will make breathing easy as on the surface of the water. Since the hotel is in the water, a helipad is on top where helicopters will land to drop off the resort goers.
The advanced technology of today’s world has helped make this vision possible for construction. The environment’s safety is a big concern and is in the minds of all the people who have a part in the plans. When the Water Discus Hotel is finished being built and open for reservations, a whole new level of adventure will be explored. The vision of an underwater hotel for the future is now part of reality.
