Arrowhead continues domination in Madison West invite.

The Hawks finished 1st with a combined score of 59.50, Racine Park and D.C. Everest tied for 2nd with 45 points, Rockford Auburn took 4th with 36 and Rockford Jefferson took 5th with 34 points.

“I’m really proud of the boys for coming through and winning the meet title,” said Coach Herriot. “This is the third week of the season, and we circle this meet on the calendar every year. The competition is outstanding at the meet every year. So to go up there and win it all, that’s a good sign for things to come.”

Arrowhead had 2 top finishes. Senior Joe McFarland who won the 800-meter run in 1:58:94. Wes Kavelaris, Jake Vis, Derek Steinbach, and Joe McFarland won the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:27.97.

The Hawks took 2nd in the 3,200 with a time of 8:26/85 with members Brad Bong, Devon Benske, Tim Hucke and Tim McFarland. Arrowhead also took 4th in the 800 relay in 1:34.80. Runners were Kavelaris, Steinbach, Vis, and Corey Pinkner. Kaverlaris also took 2nd in the pole vault with 13’6” and 4th in the long jump with a distance of 21’5”.
